BeaTunes is a new music selection tool that works to find songs that are similar or close in style, following an example you indicate. For this it uses BPM data (Beats Per Minute).



Initially you transfer some songs to the program that clearly reflect the sytle you`re interested in. BeaTunes will analyze the BPM of all of them, and look in your hard drive to give you a list of all the songs that agree or have the same or similar BPM to the songs you transfered.


The program works with all types of musical styles (rock, techno, pop, etc) and its success rate is surprisingly high. To help you in the identification, you can catalogue themes by colour, and even post them directly onto your Blogger blog with links and playlists that you have created with BeaTunes.
